Learn Spanish the natural way

Babies learn their native language by listening, repeating and interacting with their family. Many foreigners when they go to live in another country pick up the language by talking to the natives. All in a natural way, without drills, without grammar, without memorizing vocabulary lists.

This happens because our brain is equipped with language processing tools that are activated and function unconsciously when the right immersive conditions are present.

Fundamentals of fluency in Spanish

The method Didáctica de ELE

It is a communicative method based on The Natural Approach by Dr. Stephen Krashen, comprehensible input and the TPRS method (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) created by Professor Blaine Ray, from the United States.

Didáctica de ELE adapts TPRS techniques to create a differentiated approach:

  • specific for adults, applicable to your professional life, traveling, culture, making friends...

  • focused on interactive self-access contents.

Designed to integrate easily into your routine, practice with recorded videos provides autonomy and flexibility. We incorporate all the basic principles of natural acquisition with comprehensible input:

  • language immersion

  • comprehensible Spanish

  • engaging stories

  • interesting texts and dialogues

  • funny characters and situations

  • humor to help you remember

  • most frequent words in the language

  • “super 7” and “sweet 16” verbs

  • repetition and practice through circling (easy oral questions)

Organized in three levels

Español con historias follows the curricular plan of Didáctica de ELE, based on the most frequent words of the language, cognates or transparent words and on the topics of interest of adult learners.

A natural progression is followed from the simplest to the most complex and vocabulary is recycled to give repetition in a logical and natural way.

Level 1

Beginner

Up to 1,000 words

Simple stories, texts and dialogues, with high repetition of frequent words and essential structures (Super 7 and Sweet 16 verbs).

Level 2

Pre-intermediate

Up to 1,800 words

Stories richer in content, consolidating what was acquired in the previous level and expanding vocabulary.

Level 3

Intermediate

Up to 3,000 words

Stories that include current topics and issues of personal or professional interest, detailed descriptions and different points of view.
